Challenge
SKI areál Bílá is one of the Beskydy’s most popular winter destinations. The resort’s two car parks – the main lot at the ski lift and the overflow Domovjanka area – experience extreme demand spikes on winter weekends and school holidays. Without live occupancy data, approaching visitors had no way to know whether a space was available, leading to congestion on the access road.
Solution
Parkinto AI cameras were installed at both the main ski resort car park and the adjacent Domovjanka lot. The camera-based system handles challenging winter conditions including low-light mornings, snowfall, and vehicles partially obscured by snow. Occupancy data is published to Mapy.cz in real time, giving skiers live parking information as they plan their journey. The system is part of ANTHONYapp’s Beskydy-wide smart parking network.
Results
Visitors to SKI areál Bílá can now check live parking availability on Mapy.cz before setting off, reducing unnecessary journeys and improving access road flow during peak ski season. The resort management gains continuous occupancy analytics for operational planning.
